How do I change the e-mail address that Napalm Riot sends notices to?
To change your e-mail address, simply access My Profile (Menu tray > My Profile). In the left hand column, under Personal Information just enter your new e-mail address in place of the old one, then save your changes.
What are the user symbols and what do they mean?

User symbols are a quick and easy way for you to determine who's who around the site.
I added someone as a friend, but they come up as acquaintance, why is that?
Simply put, they have to reciprocate the friendship. If they don't add you, it could be because they don't know you very well yet, but as soon as they add you they will show up as a 'Friend' rather than an 'Acquaintance'.
Essentially, it's because we don't want the system making assumptions on your behalf. What kind of social networking site would it be if it assumed everything about you?
The system is designed so that it caters to you, the users.
I chose a platform in my profile settings, why is it not showing up on my user page?
We only display icons on your user page for the platforms you select. Right now, we're still building our platform icon list, so for many of the older systems, we don't yet have an icon. Therefore, if you select one of these systems, it won't show up on your user page.
Also, the system is designed to only show the number of platforms for which there is space. Not everyone views the web at the same resolution, so some users may see more platforms on a user page than others.
Do I have to fill in my personal information?
No, you are not required to fill in anything. However, by not doing so, you might miss out on some functionality of the site as we add more features.
Remember, you can always change how much of your personal information is displayed on your My Preferences page (Menu Tray > My Preferences > Userpage > Cosmetic Settings).
I can’t set a custom title, how come?
The custom title feature is available to subscribers only. If you are a subscriber and you are still having issues, then send an email to help@napalmriot.com and we’ll have a look into the issue.
I’m not in the United States, I don’t have a zip code, do I need to put anything there?
No, is the short answer. Zip Codes are also known as Postal Codes and so on. They are not required, and it is entirely up to you whether you provide it or not – It will not hinder your experience of the site either way.
My avatar won’t upload, why is that?
The first thing to check is that it complies with the image formats that are accepted. These are .png, .jpeg, .jpg and .gif.
If it is one of those file types, then check the resolution. It must be 50x50 pixels.

What can I do from the My Preferences page?
"My Preferences" allows you to customize the way much of the content around NR is delivered to you.
From the General tab, you can set whether people can see when you're online, whether you see other users' signatures, and the position of the Menu tray.
The Userpage tab allows you to select how much of your personal information is displayed. You can also customize how you see the titles of the user page sections. Subscribers can determine how much content they want to view on a user's page.
From the Notifications tab you can choose whether to display your friends'/acquaintances' user icons next to notifications you receive from them, and for which message center events you want to be notified by e-mail. Subscribers can set their real-time notification settings.
Finally, the Forum tab allows you to customize the way that information is presented in the forums with custom labels, content toggles, cosmetic settings and display counts.
Each choice has a description, so you'll always have a good idea what you're changing.
I changed the page on My Preferences and the previous page lost the settings, why?
You need to save your changes on each page before you move onto the next one.
Why can't I turn off my advertisements?
Only subscribers can turn the adverts off. If you're a subscriber and need help on this issue, you can find more information in the Subscription Service section of the Help Center.
I'm over 18, why can't I set my mature content filter?
The Mature Content filter is a WSW feature; that is, we're still working on it. For obvious reasons, this is a feature we have to be extra careful in the production and testing of, so we can't say when it'll be available except for "soon!"
Is there a limit to the number of other profiles I can link?
Short answer, no. There’s no official limit, but some consideration for users not on high-speed internet wouldn’t go amiss.
I added another profile, but it doesn’t have an image associated with it, why not?
At the moment, these images are added manually depending on who links to where. If it doesn’t have an image, send an email to help@napalmriot.com and we’ll get one added as soon as we can. Be sure to include the site you’re linking, though!
How do I add a wishlist?
From the Menu tray select My Account > Wishlists . From there, simply add in the name and url of your wishlist, and submit.
What are favorite servers?
Favorite Servers is a way for you to share which servers you hang out on while playing Counter-Strike Source, Half-Life 2, Day of Defeat, Call of Duty, Battlefield 2, World of Warcraft and TetriNet.
You can set up your favorite servers through the Menu tray by selecting My Account > Favorite Servers.
How do I set up my favorite servers list?
From the Menu tray, My Account > Favorite Servers.
There you will find the Favorite Servers management page. Enter the server name, the server address, and select the game. You can also enter the max users, average load and average play time.
Then just submit, and you'll see it added to the list of your favorite servers on the right.
Can I edit/delete entries on my favorite servers list?
Yes, absolutely! Simply go to your favorite servers management page (Menu tray > My Account > Favorite Servers).
To edit an entry, click on its name from the list on the right, make your changes, and click submit. To delete an entry, click the "Delete" link next to it.
I can't find my game on the list for favorite servers; why not?
If you'd like us to add a game to the list that's not on there, send an e-mail to help@napalmriot.com. Include your user name, which game you want us to add, and -- if possible -- a link to that game's website.
