How do I add a blog?
From the Menu tray, select "My Blog" to get to your Blog Management page. To start a new entry, click on the "Add Blog" button. From there you can do everything you need to enter the content, and when you're done, just click "Publish Now" and you're done. Or, you can save it as a draft, to be completed later.
Can I edit blogs after posting?
Absolutely! From the Meny tray, click "My Blog" and then click "Edit" next to the blog you want to edit, make your changes, and click "Publish Now" and you’re done.
Can I embed images or videos?
Napalm Riot does not currently support videos. Subscribers can post images, however. Details for doing so can be found in the
Formatting Guide.
What’re the "I'm currently..." options?
These are to let people reading your blog know what you’re doing when you write it. They’re non-essential, but it’s sometimes possible to get a frame of mind across using these little bits of information. Basically, they are for fun.
I edited an entry, and ticked the "Don't reset Post Date" box....and my entry disappeared!
Don't panic. This is a known bug, and we're working on a solution. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it sounds. We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, scroll to the bottom of your blog list. There, you will find your missing post, set to some ridiculous date. Simply "edit" it and untick the box, then save it again.
Can I edit Reviews after posting them?
Of course you can! From the Menu tray, go to "My Reviews" and click the edit button next to the review that you want to make changes to. When you're done, click the "Publish Now" button.
I want to review a game that cannot be found, what do I do?
As with adding a game that doesn’t seem to be in the database, note
ӝRotane and he will get the game and box art added as soon as he can.
I already rated this game when I added it to my Games Library, why do I have to do it again?
When you added the game to your library, you gave it an "overall" rating. However, for the purposes of a review most people like to represent individual aspects of the game numerically – that’s what these sliders are for. This gives you the chance to offer a breakdown of what you think the game excelled at and where it was lacking. Of course, they’re no replacement for the written content of a review, but they are easily recognized and understood.
How do I add Fan Fiction?
From the Menu tray, select "My Account," then "Fan Fiction." Enter the title of your story, the game in which it's set. Then, your story! You can either copy and paste it from the text editor of your choice, or you can write it directly on the page. For your convenience, we allow you to save drafts, and even have an auto-save feature.
How do I edit a piece of fiction I've already submitted.
From your Fan Fiction management page (Menu tray > My Account > Fan Fiction), click on edit next to the piece you want to change. Then, just save it when you're done.
